ABOUT ME:

I'm a self-taught wildlife and pet portrait artist based in the UK. I have a scientific background, with an undergraduate degree in Animal Biology and a Master's degree in Marine Conservation but I have been working as an artist part-time since 2019.

After taking art at A-level, I rediscovered my love of drawing and painting during COVID and discovered my favourite art medium, coloured fineliners when I experimented with a set that my Dad gave me for Christmas.

"Art has the ability to communicate in ways that words never can"

I am inspired by the rich diversity of colours, textures and patterns in our natural world and am passionate about reflecting this diversity in my wildlife pieces. I hope that my pieces will have a positive impact on people and help to engage them with nature and conservation by showcasing the amazing biodiversity and beauty of our natural world and the species we share it with.

However, another branch of my artwork is pet portraits. I love capturing the unique character and sweet expressions of our cherished pets in my portrait work.

In 2023, I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with the Shark Trust and create a piece for their Oceanic 31 art collection along with 30 other artists. I created a biro sketch of two Galapagos Sharks on top of a printed map of the Galapagos Islands. My little sharks then travelled across the UK to various exhibitions and aquariums before being auctioned off to raise funds for the Shark Trust's Big Shark Pledge and help the conservation of oceanic sharks and rays.
